A. Carol Spain, 71, of Bellefontaine, Ohio, went home to be with the Lord Thursday, February 2, 2012 at 10:25 P.M. at St. Rita’s Medical Center in Lima, Ohio. She was born July 20, 1940 in Bellefontaine, a daughter of the late William Edward and Julie Marse (Branham) Pash.
On July 25, 1964 in Urbana, Ohio, she married Howard “Tom” Spain and he preceded her in death January 31, 2005.
Survivors include a son, Herbert Michael (Janel) Spain of Anniston, Alabama; grandchildren, Dustin Lee and Leiann Nicole Spain; great-grandchildren, Savannah, Mya, Xavier and Daxxus; her best friend, Charlie Patrick of Rushsylvania, Ohio; brothers, Myrl (Sherry) Pash of Kenton, Ohio, and Lindsey (Barb) Pash of Findlay, Ohio; step-brothers, Earl Shisler of South Carolina and John Shisler of Findlay, Ohio; sisters, Betty Small of Zanesfield, Ohio, Kristine (Louie) Steggmon of Mt. Cory, Ohio, and Madeline (Mark) Jollif of Dunkirk, Ohio; a step-sister, Susan Rizor of Findlay, Ohio and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was a cook at the Marysville Honda Motorcycle plant from 1980 to 1984 and a member of the Logan County Senior Citizens and Mary Rutan Hospital Guild.
Pastor Ray Headings will conduct the funeral service Tuesday, February 7, 2012 at 10:30 A.M. at the Eichholtz Funeral Home in Bellefontaine where calling hours are Monday, February 6, 2012 from 4 to 7 P.M. Interment will be at the the Lewistown Cemetery in Lewistown, Ohio.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Logan County Senior Center.
