Alice A. Conklin, 88, formerly of Belle Center, Ohio, passed away Sunday, August 31, 2008, at the Green Hills Retirement Community in West Liberty, Ohio.
She was born in Covington on September 18, 1919, a daughter of the late Richard F. and Margaret L. Crook Albery. On March 26, 1949, she married James William Conklin in Miami County and he died May 21, 2000.
She also was preceded in death by three brothers, Richard, George and Max Albery; and two sisters, Agnes Hartnell and Maribell Albery. She is survived by several nieces and nephews.
A member of the Bellefontaine Senior Citizens, the Belle Center United Methodist Church, Methodist Morning Circle, she also was a member of the Belle Center Women’s Club and the Northfork Sew and So Club, which recognized her in 1998 as mother of the year.
Pastor Justin Erickson will conduct the funeral service at 11 a.m. Wednesday, September 3, 2008, at the Eichholtz Funeral Home in Belle Center, where calling is one hour prior to the service. Burial is in Sugar Grove Cemetery, near Covington. Memorial contributions may be made to the Green Hills activity fund.
