Alice Martin

Alice Delores Martin, age 85, of Bellefontaine, Ohio, passed away at 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, April 8, 2014 at her home.

She was born in Springfield, Ohio September 11, 1928, to the late Oliver H. and Mary Luella (Tuttle) Rhoads. On September 4, 1946, she married James Richard Martin and he preceded her in death April 4, 1978. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Joyce Marie Martin; two sisters, Patricia and Annamary; two brothers, Oliver Ralph Rhoads and an infant brother.

She is survived by two daughters, Pamela Louise Deffenbaugh and Donna Eileen Lethcoe; three sons, James Michael Martin, John Lee (Barb) Martin and Karl R. (Merilyn) Martin Sr; fifteen grandchildren; twenty great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; a sister, Roberta Boley, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Alice had worked in food service at Logan Acres Care Center and had a passion for horses. She was a member of Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses.

A graveside service will be conducted at 12 Noon Saturday, April 12, 2014 at the Greenwood-Union Cemetery in DeGraff, Ohio.

The funeral arrangements were in the care of the staff of the Daring & Sanford Funeral Home in DeGraff, Ohio.
