Biography

Amanda J. Peters, age 35, of Bellefontaine, Ohio passed away Thursday, August 21, 2014 at the Cancer Treatment Center of America, Midwestern Region Medical Center in Chicago, Illinois.

She was born in Bellefontaine June 20, 1979, a daughter of the late Dana Preston Cooper and Leona May (Kirkpatrick) Cooper (Roger Dailey) who survives of Bellefontaine. In addition to her father, she was also preceded in death by an infant son, Ethan.

On August 18, 2001 in Bellefontaine, she married John C. Peters Jr. and he survives in Bellefontaine along with their children, John “Trey” Peters III, Chloe "Sis" Peters, and Nathan "Nater Tater" Peters, all of Bellefontaine; her brother, Jason (Lisa) Cooper of Amherst, Ohio; her sister, Tiffany (Drew) McKellop of Bellefontaine; nieces and nephews, Ethan, Jaydan, Mikayla, Landon, Zain, Avrionna, Kaylee, Alexis and Aubrey; many cousins; her mother-in-law, Elsie (Jeff) Williams of Bellefontaine; her father-in-law, John (Martha) Peters Sr. of Bellefontaine, and her brother-in-law, Jeremiah (Andrea McKellar) Grumbling.

Amanda loved to spend time with her family and friends, but especially with her husband and children, which brought her so much joy. She had a passion for animals as well, and loved her dogs.

Pastor Aaron Francis will officiate the funeral service Tuesday, August 26, 2014, at 6:00 P.M. at the Eichholtz Funeral Home in Bellefontaine. Calling hours will be held two hours prior to the funeral service at the funeral home.
