Ann Jacobs

Ann Elizabeth Jacobs, 93, of Rushsylvania, Ohio, passed away at her residence Monday, October 17, 2011. She was born in Belle Center, Ohio August 11, 1918, to the late Isaac Bliss and Ada Laney (Emery) Johnston.

On July 12, 1942 she married John Paul Jacobs in Belle Center, and he preceded her in death July 20, 2008. Also preceding her in death were her siblings, C. Emery Johnston and Kathryn House.

Surviving is a son, J. Steven (Cynthia) Jacobs of Bellefontaine, Ohio and a daughter, Joyce A. (Gary) Downey of Rushsylvania; 5 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

Ann was a homemaker and at the time of her marriage she worked as a bookkeeper for the Logan County Lumber Company in Bellefontaine.

Ann was a member of the Rushsylvania Church of Christ and a 1936 Belle Center High School graduate. She was actively involved with her family, church and community activities.

Pastor’s Lynn Cleaveland and Craig Howie will conduct an 11:00 A.M. funeral service Friday, October 21, 2011 at the Rushsylvania Church of Christ, where friends may call from 4 to 7 P.M. Thursday, October 20, 2011 and one hour prior to the service on Friday. Interment will be in the Rushsylvania Cemetery.

The staff of the Eichholtz Funeral Home in Belle Center assisted the family with the arrangements.
