Anna Fay Brown, 82, of Bellefontaine, Ohio, passed away Friday evening, March 8, 2013 at Logan Acres Care Center in Bellefontaine. She was born in Lee City, Kentucky to the late Coburn and Louzona (Farris) Back.
She married Carl Brown September 25, 1954 in Cincinnati, Ohio, and he preceded her in death April 24, 1994. She was also preceded in death by her brothers Luther, Robert and Louis Back; a sister, Dorothy Back, and a grandson Matthew A. Schaefer who passed away in 2011.
Anna is survived by her children, Carleen (Gerald Skaggs) Brown of Bellefontaine, Nathan “Scott” (Dianna) Brown of Alabama, and Randall (Lisa) Brown of Florida; four grandchildren, Mitchell Schaefer, Myles Schaefer, Brittany Brown and Ethan Brown; five great-grandchildren, Matthew, Marcus, Marshall, Hunter and Maysen; a brother, Jim Back of Loveland, Ohio and numerous nieces and nephews.
Anna worked as a telephone operator for AT&T, ran the switchboard at Shillitos Department Store in Kenwood, Ohio and later retired as a seamstress. She was an avid seamstress and loved to crochet.
She was a member of the Church of God in Blue Ash, Ohio. Anna loved her Cincinnati Reds and never missed a game. She was loved by many and will be missed by her three closest friends Cindy, Marsha and June.
A graveside service will be held at the Rest Haven Memorial Park in Evendale, Ohio at 2:30 P.M. Wednesday, March 13, 2013 with calling hours at the Strawser Funeral Home in Blue Ash two hours prior to the graveside service.
The local arrangements were handled by the staff of the Eichholtz Funeral Home in Bellefontaine.
