Annabelle Messner

Biography

Annabelle Messner, 87, of West Liberty, passed away Thursday, December 3, 2015 at Heartland of Bellefontaine. She was born May 10, 1928 in Zanesfield, OH, the daughter of the late Maynard and Helen (Morgan) Lovett.

On April 9, 1949, she married George Messner and he preceded her in death on April 4, 2004. She is also preceded in death by a brother, Richard Lovett.

She is survived by her children, Larry (Debby) Messner of Heath, OH, and Mary Ann (Bill) Patterson of Bellefontaine; grandchildren, Heidi (Bill) Cancelliari, Brandon (Krista) Messner, Shane (Carrie) Messner, Jared Patterson, Bart (Ashley) Patterson, Chris Messner, nine great-grandchildren; and a sister, Florence Logan of Pataskala.

Annabelle graduated from Zanesfield Local High School in 1946 and on March 14, 1947, she graduated from Fredericks Beauty Academy in Springfield, Ohio. She worked more than 45 years as a beautician until her retirement in 1993. She was a longtime member of the First Lutheran Church.

Pastor Jim Ellington will officiate a funeral service at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 12, 2015 at the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home, 321 N. Main St. Bellefontaine. Visitation will be one hour prior to the funeral.
