Anne Cost, 98, of Bellefontaine, Ohio, died Saturday, July 10, 2010, at the Logan Acres Care Center in Bellefontaine. She was born in Madison, Indiana December 12, 1911, a daughter of William and Jessie Little Eaglin, who preceded her in death.
On May 15, 1936, in Xenia, Ohio, she married Charles “Lewis” Cost, and he preceded her in death October 22, 2005. They moved to Bellefontaine in 1940. Also preceding her in death was a son, Charles Cost, a daughter, Betsy Bur, two brothers and three sisters.
She helped her husband at Lew’s I.G.A. Foodliner in Bellefontaine for many years.
She is survived by a son, Donn Cost Sr. of Bellefontaine, a daughter-in-law, Dorothy Cost of Bellefontaine, a son-in-law, Thomas Bur of Abington, Pennsylvania, a daughter-in-law, Valerie Cost of Painesville, Ohio, six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Bellefontaine, a life member of Kings Daughters and a member of La Cultura Club in Bellefontaine. She was an avid reader and bridge player and enjoyed doing crossword puzzles.
A graveside service for family and friends will be held Saturday, July 17, 2010 at 10 A.M. at the Bellefontaine Cemetery with Rev. Ed Beale officiating.
