Arnold Jacob Regier, 94, of West Liberty, Ohio passed on to his heavenly reward at Green Hills Community in West Liberty May 5, 2017.
Arnold was born February 15, 1923, at a home near Moundridge, Kansas to Dietrich and Katherine Reimer Regier. On November 28, 1952, he was united in marriage to Mary K. Fisher at the South Union Mennonite Church in West Liberty. She preceded him in death May 16, 2012.
He is survived by his children, Beth (Ben) Selzer of Hesston, Kansas, Bonnie (Robert) Grace Frutos of Volcano, Hawaii, Alan (Kari) Regier of Urbana, Ohio and a foster son Frank Chatfield of Bellefontaine, Ohio; six grandchildren, Nathan Selzer, Tyler Selzer, Vincent Grace, Kyle Grace, Jacob Regier, and Alyse Regier; one great grandson, Lucien Grace, and two sisters, Alfrieda Penner of Plainfield, Indiana, and Dorothy (Willis) Harder of North Newton, Kansas.
He was preceded in death by his parents, an infant brother Milton, and a brother-in-law, Ervin Penner.
Arnie worked as a supervisor at the Ross Training Center in Bellefontaine and as a house painter.
Visitation will be held Saturday, May 13, 2017, from 10 to 11 A.M. at the South Union Mennonite Church in West Liberty, where Pastor Matthew Williams will officiate an 11 A.M. memorial service. A private graveside service will be held at the South Union Cemetery in West Liberty.
The staff of the The Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home in West Liberty assisted the family with the arrangements.
