Ashley K. Nickell

Ashley K. Nickell, 33, of Bellefontaine, passed away at 5:03 a.m. on Sunday, September 11, 2022, after a battle with cervical cancer.

She was born in Bellefontaine, Ohio on June 1, 1989, the daughter of the late Marvin Dean Nickell, Jr. and Kathy (Slusher) Robinson, who survives in Bellefontaine.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by a daughter, Chloe Nickell (age 12), two brothers, Robert “Scott” (Katie) Robinson of DeGraff and Steven Michael Robinson of Bellefontaine, and maternal grandparents, Marvin (Delores Jean) Nickell Sr. of Tennessee, many other family members including aunts, uncles and cousins, and her good friend, Ron Stayman of Bellefontaine.

Ashley loved to travel to new places and explore.  She loved being outdoors and one of her favorite things to do was to go on a hike.  She also enjoyed shopping, especially yard sales and flea markets.  She loved photography, fireworks, going to the movie theatre, and spoiling her daughter, Chloe.  She was always such a generous person with her giving of time, food, clothing, or anything that was needed.

Pastor Matthew Sandlin will officiate a funeral service on Friday, September 16, 2022, at 1:00 p.m. at the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 321 N. Main St., Bellefontaine.  Visitation will be two hours prior to the service, from 11 to 1 p.m.  Burial will follow in Bellefontaine Cemetery.
