Barbara J. Korn, 79, of Sidney, Ohio and formerly of Montra, passed away on Wednesday, November 13, 2024, in St. Rita’s Medical Center, Lima.

She was born in Havre De Grace, Maryland on September 5, 1945, the daughter of the late Harlen and Sylvia (Kitzmiller) Beckman.

On June 10, 1991, she married Jerry W. Korn in Jackson Center, and he preceded her in death on September 20, 2014. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Theresa Lamana.

She is survived by her children, Tammy (Bill) Richardson of Kissimmee, FL and Vincent (Melanie) Rogers of Jackson Center, five grandchildren, Joseph Jameson, Timothy (Kristen) Jameson, Tyler (Josie) Rogers, Haley Rogers, and Jared Lamanna, two great grandchildren, Lenah Williams and Meryl Williams, her siblings: Patricia (Frank) Gamba, Gary (Phyllis) Beckman, Edward (Toni) Beckman, John (Carolyn) Beckman, Carolyn (Ross) Savage, and Kimberly (William) Ellis, a brother-in-law, Keith (Kathy) Korn, a sister-in-law, Vicki (Chuck) Niggemeyer, her dear friends, Mary, Vicki, Linda, and Sue, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Barb proudly worked as a waitress at Cassano’s for many years. She loved to play cards with her family and friends, especially Pinochle, Bonko, and 313. She attended Christ The King Church in Jackson Center and was affectionately known as the "Hug Lady".

A celebration of life service is being planned for Spring of 2025.
