Berman Max Wilkins, age 60, of West Liberty, Ohio passed away Thursday afternoon, July 13, 2017 at his home.  He was born in Urbana, Ohio October 20, 1956, to the late Berman and Martha (McCullough) Wilkins.  Max was also preceded in death by two sisters, Barbara Zeigler and Becky Wiant, and two nephews, Rory Zeigler and Geno Sayer.

Max is survived by his wife, Alicia Marie (Morris) Wilkins, whom he married March 26, 1989 in Cable, Ohio.  He is also survived by a daughter and son-in-law Kellee (Wilkins) and Chris Hall, and their children Xavier, Lucas and Lillian; a son and daughter-in-law Jacob and Delayna Wilkins and their children Jude, Lydia, Levi and Micah; mother of Kellee and Jacob and former wife, Kim (Calland) Stolarksi; a sister and brother-in-law Kathy and Carl Partrick; a brother, Jerry Wilkins; a brother and sister-in-law Bill and Shauna Wilkins; brothers-in-law Ronnie Zeigler and Steve Wiant; a sister-in-law and her husband Anita and Rick Pittinger; brothers-in-law and their wives, Paul and Myra Morris, Tim and Kelly Morris; nineteen nieces and nephews; twenty eight great-nieces and great-nephews and nineteen great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews.

A 1975 graduate of West Liberty - Salem High School, Max obtained an Associate’s degree from Lincoln Technical College.  He had previously worked at Smith Douglas Fertilizer, the Champaign County Soil & Water District and most recently with Drackett, Inc.  Max enjoyed muscle cars and was a member of Mt. Carmel Friends Church in Cable, Ohio.

Max was a man who loved Jesus and boldly shared that love.  Unable for several years to do anything physically, he daily prayed through his list of family, friends, fellow believers, Alicia’s co-workers and many others.

Max donated his body to the Ohio State University Anatomy Department.

A Remembrance of Life and Testament of Faith service will be held Sunday, July 16, 2017 at 5 P.M. at the Mt. Carmel Friends Church in Cable with Pastor Jereme Proudman officiating.

The arrangements were handled by the staff of the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home in West Liberty.
