Bette Feltham, age 94, of Bellefontaine, Ohio passed away January 27, 2018 at Mary Rutan Hospital in Bellefontaine.
She spent her childhood in Wisconsin. In 1946, Bette married Charles Feltham who preceded her in death.
During World War II, she enlisted in the United States Marine Corps Women’s Reserve, serving in the San Francisco area.
Raising her family in North Olmstead, Bette also continued her education, graduating from Case-Western Reserve University in the 1950's. She then taught English in the North Olmstead public schools until her retirement, at which time she and Charles moved to Clearwater, Florida.
In 2007, Bette returned north, settling in Bellefontaine where she quickly grew to love the community in which she would spend the last ten years of a long, good life.
Bette is survived by her children, George (Karen) Feltham of Rushsylvania, Ohio and Molly (Trigg) Adams; five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
The family does not plan to have a formal funeral service, however a memorial get-together and celebration of her life will be held in Logan County at a future date. Please let the family know if you wish to attend, and they will make sure you are informed of the details of the event.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: your own local food pantry organization; or because Bette loved music so much, “Discover Classical” WDPR Dayton Public Radio.
The staff of the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home & Cremation Center in Bellefontaine handled the arrangements.
