Betty L. Dillon, age 73, of West Liberty, Ohio passed away at 9:10 P.M. Thursday, September 7, 2017 at Mary Rutan Hospital in Bellefontaine, Ohio. She was born in Coalton, Ohio May 22, 1944, to the late Lee and Susie (Tipton) Drake.

On August 23, 1965, she married Don D. Dillon and he preceded her in death September 8, 2002. Betty was also preceded in death by siblings, Paul Drake, Bill Drake, Fred Drake, James Drake, Frances Sickle, Linda Thompson, Mary Clark, and other infant siblings.

She is survived by her son, Jerry (Debra) Dillon of West Liberty; two grandchildren, Austin and Abby of West Liberty; a brother, Harold Drake of Jackson, Ohio; a special brother and sister-in-law, Doris and Al Couch of West Jefferson, Ohio and many nieces and nephews.

Betty was a member of the United Church of Christ in West Liberty.  She enjoyed going to the casino, sewing, and supporting her grandkids in all their endeavors. Betty was the founder of the Juvenile Diabetes Bake Sale at West Liberty-Salem Schools. She organized and supported the sale for the last eleven years. All who loved her will miss her.

Reverend Paul Forrey will officiate the funeral service at 11:00 A.M. Monday, September 11, 2017 at the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home in West Liberty. Visitation will be held Sunday, September 10, 2017 from 3 to 5 P.M. at the funeral home. Burial will be at the Fairview Cemetery in West Liberty.

The funeral arrangements are in the care of the staff of the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home in West Liberty.
