Betty Garver

Betty Jane Garver, 91, of Bellefontaine, Ohio, and formerly of Marion, Ohio, passed away Thursday, July 2, 2009, at the Logan Acres Care Center in Bellefontaine. She was in born in Elm Creek, Nebraska January 25, 1918, the daughter of the late Ralph and Twila (Priester) Mapes.

On September 20, 1940, she married Donald E. Garver, who preceded her in death March 20, 1995. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Rodney Mapes.

She is survived by her two sons; Dr. Craig M. (Barbara Hume) Garver of Wenatchee, Washington, and Brian Garver of Huntsville, Ohio, and five grandchildren; Juniper, Aiden, Aaron, Jason, and Kristen.

Betty worked as a homemaker and also as a clerk at Sutton’s for many years. She enjoyed traveling and reading.
