Betty Harford

Betty Jean “Nan” Harford, 84, of Bellefontaine, Ohio passed away Thursday, July 11, 2013 at Logan Acres Care Center in Bellefontaine.

She was born in Lima, Ohio November 24, 1928, to the late Melvin Bradford and Lily (Armstrong) Butturff. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Charles “Bud” Bradford.

On December 23, 1945, in Lakeview, Ohio she married Raymond E. Harford and he preceded her in death April 21, 1992.

She is survived by a daughter, Becky (Dave) Tanger of Bellefontaine; grandchildren, Amy (W.R.) Dickson, Mandy (Jesse) Cummins, Brianne (Phil) Flesher, Joey (Nickolette) Holder; great-grandchildren, Noah, Brayden, Maci, Talon, Peyton and numerous nieces and nephews.

Betty retired from Precision Custom Products where she worked in Quality Control. She then went to work with AVI Vending until retiring again in 2003. She enjoyed gardening, doing crossword puzzles and all pets and animals. She especially enjoyed her family and hanging out with the grandkids.

Pastor Lynn Mercer will officiate the funeral service at 11 A.M. Monday, July 15, 2013, at the Smith-Eichholtz Funeral Home in Lakeview, where calling hours will be held Sunday, July 14, 2013, from 2 to 5 P.M. Interment will be at the Willow Branch Cemetery in Waynesfield, Ohio.
