Betty Hinshaw

Betty Ann Powell Hinshaw, 82, of West Liberty, Ohio, passed away July 15, 2009 in Mary Rutan Hospital in Bellefontaine, Ohio. She was born in Springfield, Ohio, June 3, 1927, the daughter of the late Forrest Myers and Nancy Elizabeth Bush Powell Sr.

On August 31, 1946, she married Marvin E. Hinshaw. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Forrest Myers Powell Jr. and a grandson, Timothy Andrew Davis. Betty is survived by a son: David (Ruth) Hinshaw of Edgewater, Florida; daughters: Carolyn Yvonne (James M.) Hinshaw-Davis of Pleasant Lake Indiana; Marlene Ann (Dan) Cooley of West Chester, Ohio; 6 grandchildren: Christopher, Brian, Bob Davis: Michelle Hinshaw, Sara (Chris) Schapman, and Keith Cooley.

Betty was a homemaker and worked with the Council on Aging in Fort Wayne, Indiana. She was a 1945 graduate of DeGraff High, and attended the Calvary Baptist Church in Bellefontaine.

A private graveside service was held Friday, July 17, 2009, in the Bellefontaine Cemetery, with Pastor Jeffory Willetts presiding.
