Betty Mae Kemp, age 94, of Jackson Center, Ohio passed away at 10:30 A.M. Tuesday, January 9, 2018 at Otterbein Senior Lifestyle Community in Cridersville, Ohio. She was born in Logan County Ohio March 3, 1923, to the late Ernest Orlando and Helen Marie (Swartz) Regula.

On July 26, 1941, Betty married Dallas R. Kemp and he preceded her in death March 4, 1989. She was also preceded in death by two daughters, Phyllis McGowan and Sue Snider; two sisters, Rose Gross and Doris Jenkins and her step-mother, Meryle Regula.

Betty is survived by her sons-in-law, Max McGowan and Gary Snider; three grandchildren, Kelli (Jim) Bowen, Brian Snider, and Kevin (Christine) Snider; two great granddaughters, Christina Bowen and Andrea Ricker; two great-great granddaughters, Sidney and Hazel; two sisters, June Reinbolt and Velma Fries and many nieces and nephews.

Betty had worked as a seamstress for Holloway Sportswear and Airstream for many years. She was a member of the Grace Lutheran Church in Jackson Center where she was baptized April 22, 1923 and confirmed May 16, 1937. Betty enjoyed quilting, knitting, crocheting, baking, going to the movies, playing cards and BINGO. She was also an avid fan of the Cincinnati Reds and The Ohio State University basketball team.

Visitation will be held from 1 to 4 P.M. Sunday, January 14, 2018 at the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home in Jackson Center.

Rev. Dr. Cathi Braasch will officiate the funeral service at 10:00 A.M. Monday, January 15, 2018 at the Grace Lutheran Church in Jackson Center.

Burial will follow the funeral service at the Glen Cemetery in Port Jefferson, Ohio.

The funeral arrangements are in the care of the staff of the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home in Jackson Center.
