Betty Lord

Betty J. Lord, 82, of Bellefontaine, Ohio, passed away on Wednesday, May 13, 2009 in Osgood, Indiana. She was born in Bellefontaine on April 8, 1927, to the late Frank and Lucille (Means) Buchenroth. On September 4, 1942, she married Ernest Edward Lord in Covington, Kentucky, and he preceded her in death on March 16, 1987. Also preceding her in death were three brothers, Robert, Paul F. and Frank W. Buchenroth.

Surviving is a son Bucky (Polly) Lord of Batesville, Indiana; a daughter, Dede (Stephen) Kramer of Indianapolis, Indiana; 4 grandchildren, John Lord, Tricia Abel, Amy Kramer and Leah Oblak and nine great grandchildren.

Betty worked 25 years for Westinghouse and attended the First Church of God in Bellefontaine and the Mary Rutan Hospital Guild.

Calling hours are from 2 to 4 P.M. on Sunday, May 17, 2009, at the Eichholtz Funeral Home in Bellefontaine, where Gene Marine will conduct the funeral service at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, May 18, 2009. Burial will follow in the Highland Memorial Cemetery in West Liberty, Ohio.

The family has requested that memorial contributions be made to the American Diabetes Association 644 Linn St. Suite 304 Cincinnati, Ohio 45203.
