Beulah M. Davie, age 84, of Bellefontaine, Ohio, passed away at home surrounded by her family Wednesday, March 19, 2014.
She was born May 16, 1929 in Bellefontaine, to the late Henry August and Helen (Nogle) Ebbecke.
On January 18, 1948, she married Carl Davie Jr. in Bellefontaine, and he preceded her in death October 9, 1981. She was also preceded in death by her siblings, Lois Bushong and Robert Henry Ebbecke.
Surviving are her children, Susan Chaney of Bellefontaine and Phil (Rhonda Patrick) Davie of Kenton, Ohio; four grandchildren, Shannon (Andrew) Whitson of West Chester, Ohio, Samantha (Andrew) Bremner of Toledo, Ohio, David (Laura) Davie of Fletcher, Ohio and Shawn (Beth) Davie of Bellefontaine; seven great grandchildren, Zachary, Kiley, Titus, Ezra, Philip, Abel and Lydia; many nieces and nephews including Terri Kerns of St. Mary’s, Ohio, and a daughter-in-law, Vicki Davie of Bellefontaine.
Beulah worked at Wal-Mart for eleven years retiring in 2013. She was a member of the First Christian Church in Bellefontaine and the Kings Daughters. An extremely hard worker, Beulah loved to work in her garden. She loved the O.S.U Buckeye basketball program but her main focus was her family.
Calling hours will be held Friday, March 21, 2014, from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at the Eichholtz Funeral Home in Bellefontaine. Pastor Michael Valentine will officiate the funeral service at 11 A.M. Saturday, March 22, 2014 at the First Christian Church in Bellefontaine. Interment will be at the Highland Memorial Cemetery in West Liberty, Ohio.
