Brenda Jean Beaverson

Brenda Jean Beaverson, 76, of Belle Center, passed away Saturday, October 5, 2024, at The Convalarium of Dublin.

Brenda was born in Kenton, Ohio, to the late Richard D. and Fern A. (Tevis) Sullivan. She married Roger Carl Beaverson on April 28, 1967, in Belle Center, and he preceded her in death on March 15, 2024. Brenda was also preceded in death by brothers Charlie Sullivan and Danny Sullivan. 

Brenda is survived by her children: Sheri Lynn (Steve) Deerhake of Columbus, Gregory James (Wendy) Beaverson of Woodstock, and Derin Carl (Mayla) Beaverson of Rushsylvania; 5 grandchildren: Gracie, Megan, Emily, Henry, and Maya Beaverson; a sister Delores (Gary) Mason of Oakwood, Ohio; a brother Jerry (Janet) Sullivan of Bellefontaine; and several nieces, nephews, and sisters-in-law.

Brenda worked as a bookkeeper for the Comfort Inn and Holiday Inn, both in Bellefontaine, for over 30 years. She also worked for many years at the Herald-Voice newspaper, alongside her husband Roger. Brenda was a member of the Belle Center United Presbyterian Church, where she was a member of session, clerk of session, financial secretary, and Sunday school teacher. In her spare time, Brenda enjoyed singing, playing guitar, crocheting, and cooking for her family. She also performed country and gospel music in her band, Brenda Beaverson & the Big Oak Country Band. Holidays and family events were special to Brenda, she treasured the time spent with all, especially her grandchildren. 

Friends may call on Thursday, October 10, 2024, from 4-7pm, at the Belle Center United Presbyterian Church, 202 Walnut Street, Belle Center, Ohio. The family will also receive friends on Friday, October 11, one hour prior to the funeral. Pastor Ted Dennis will officiate Brenda’s funeral service on Friday, October 11, at 11am at the church. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery, Belle Center.
