Brent Carter, 51, of Bellefontaine, Ohio, passed away Tuesday, July 16, 2013 at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio.

He was born June 6, 1962, in Salina, Kansas, a son of Dale and Evelyn (Timmons) Carter whom survive in Bellefontaine.

On December 1, 2001, in Bellefontaine he married the former Twyla Bright and she survives along with their children, Betty Jean Carter, Kayla Christine Stillings, Dalton Steven Carter all of Bellefontaine; his mother-in-law, Christine Bright of Marysville, Ohio; sister-in-laws, Tammy Bright of Marysville, Ohio, Georganna (John) Voiles of West Mansfield, Ohio; his brother-in-law, Todd (Tracey) Bright of Raymond, Ohio and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

Brent was a 1980 graduate of Hilliard High School and was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Bellefontaine. He loved football and was a huge fan of The Ohio State Buckeyes. He was
formerly employed for 18 ½ years at Honda of America in East Liberty, Ohio. Brent loved his family, especially going camping with them. He enjoyed motorcycles and was an antique collector.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Orville and Hallie Carter; maternal grandparents, Charles and Florine Timmons and a granddaughter, Samantha Jean Givens.

Pastor William Zeller will officiate the funeral service Saturday, July 20, 2013 at 7 P.M. at the Eichholtz Funeral Home in Bellefontaine, where calling hours are from 4 to 7 P.M. prior to the service. Interment will be at the Bellefontaine Cemetery Monday, July 22, 2013 at 11 A.M.

The staff of the Eichholtz Funeral Home in Bellefontaine assisted the family with the arrangements.
