Bruce K. Vance, 69, of Bellefontaine, Ohio, passed away Tuesday, July 13, 2010 at Mary Rutan Hospital in Bellefontaine. He was born December 2, 1940 in Bellefontaine, to the late Lee Pearl and Marie Grace (Kelly) Vance.
Surviving are three sisters, Alberta Herring, Margaret Chapman and Susan Kerns all of Bellefontaine, his companion, Linda Gray of Bellefontaine, five step children, several step grandchildren and great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Hazel (Savage) Vance, August 23, 1994; two brothers, Wallace and Gerald Vance; a sister, Agnes Godfrey; and an infant sister, Virginia Vance.
Bruce worked for the New York Central Railroad as a boilermaker. He was a member of the Buckeye Gospel Barn in Quincy, Ohio, and served in the National Guard. He enjoyed being outdoors, fishing and spending time with his family. He loved to laugh and to make people laugh.
There will be a memorial service at 1:00 P.M. Friday, July 23, 2010, at the Eichholtz Funeral Home in Bellefontaine, where calling hours are from 11 A.M. to 1 P.M. prior to the service. Burial will be in the Rushsylvania Cemetery in Rushsylvania, Ohio
