Carl Ray Dunlap, age 90, of Belle Center, Ohio passed away at 2:40 P.M. Monday July 22, 2019, at Green Hills Community in West Liberty, Ohio.
He was born in Allen Township Union County Ohio July 3, 1929, to the late Raymond and Estelle Lois (Brown) Dunlap. On November 30, 1948 in Winchester, Indiana he married Phyllis Joan Heath and she preceded him in death September 13, 2017. A sister, Glenna Mae Petty and an uncle, William F. Dunlap also preceded Carl in death.
He is survived by his daughters, Christine Dunlap of Lakeview, Ohio, Sharon (Mahmood) Ismail of Roseville, California and Marsha (Dennis Guidry) Dunlap of New Bern, North Carolina; a sister, Lynda (Donald) Evans of Sidney, Ohio and several nieces and nephews.
Carl worked as a mechanic for Studebakers and Millisor Chevrolet in Belle Center and then moved with them to Russells Point, Ohio. Upon their closing, Carl worked for Gem Sportswear in Russells Point repairing sewing machines until this retirement. He and his wife Phyllis, enjoyed camping and were members of the Kenton Koffee Kups. Carl enjoyed woodworking in his wood shop at his home and also had antique tractors that he enjoyed working on.
Visitation will be held Thursday, July 25, 2019 from 4 to 7 P.M. at the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home in Belle Center.
The arrangements are in the care of the staff of the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home in Belle Center.
