Carl R. Jacobs, age 80, of Bellefontaine, Ohio, passed away at 3:44 A.M. Saturday, November 1, 2014 at Heartland of Bellefontaine with his family by his side.
He was born in Logan County Ohio May 7, 1934, to the late George Washington and Hallie Belle (Boon) Jacobs. He was also preceded in death by two wives, Barbara A. Green and Judith Moreland; two brothers, James Thomas “Bus” Jacobs and George William Jacobs, and a brother-in-law, Larry Jennings.
Carl is survived by his wife Dolores “Rosie” Bruce of Oneida, Tennessee; three children, Faith Hayes, Mark (Robin Hollinger) Jacobs and Thomas E. Jacobs; six step-children; a grandson, William “Willy” Kelley Jr.; three sisters, Dorothy Mae (Max) Brentlinger, Sandra Kay (David) Mummy and Helen Eileen Jennings, and many nieces and nephews.
Carl had worked at Bulldog, Rockwell and most recently owned and operated Jacob’s Heating & Cooling Company. He loved his dogs and enjoyed refinishing furniture.
A private gathering will be held at a later date at the family’s convenience.
The funeral arrangements were in care of the staff of the Eichholtz Funeral Home in Bellefontaine.
