Carl S. Parson

Carl S. Parson, age 82, of Bellefontaine, Ohio passed away Wednesday, December 27, 2017 at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus, Ohio.

He was born in Carter County Kentucky March 31, 1935, the son of the late Alford and Mary (Richmond) Parson. He was also preceded in death by four brothers, Herman, John, Willard, and Bill Parson and four sisters, Lucille Butler, Emma Deal McGlothlin, Merle Fusie, and Amelia Thomas.

On December 24, 1960, he married Julia Rose (Henry) Parson in Lima, Ohio and she preceded him in death May 17, 2010.

He is survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Carl worked as a professional driver for many years and was an United States Navy Veteran.  He was a forty year member of the Hillcrest Baptist Church in Bellefontaine and was very involved in the church as it was a big part of his life. He also enjoyed playing golf and in his younger years, he loved to fly his airplane.

Pastors Daniel McCarty and Greg Haisley will officiate the funeral service Tuesday, January 2, 2018 at 12 noon at the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home & Cremation Center in Bellefontaine.   Visitation will be held one hour prior to the funeral service.

Burial will be at the Highland Cemetery in West Liberty, Ohio.

The staff of the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home & Cremation Center in Bellefontaine assisted the Parson family with the arrangements.
