Carl Webb

Biography

Carl B. Webb, 76, of Russells Point, Ohio, passed away Friday, December 20, 2013 at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio.

He was born in Louisa, Kentucky July 12, 1937, to the late Carl and Carrie (Terry) Webb. He was also preceded in death by sisters Geraldine Parrot, Mary Jane Jarboe and Roberta Pack and a brother, James Donald Webb.

Carl married Patricia Godwin October 26, 1968, in Tarlton, Ohio and they were married for twenty three years before they divorced. They remained friends and she survives him. Also surviving are his children, Angela K. (Frank) Brandyberry of Lakeview, Ohio, Matthew R. (Kim) Webb of Apopka, Florida, Rhonda F. (Anthony) Cook of Russells Point, and Carl A. “Shorty” (Denise) Webb of Sanford, Florida; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; brothers, John Bob Webb of Circleville, Ohio and Larry R. (Jane) Webb of Circleville, Ohio; sisters, Darlene Webb of Columbus, Ohio, Frances Gilley of Middletown, Ohio and Anita Hood of Apopka, Florida, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Carl worked as a janitor for the Riverside School system and later worked for the village of DeGraff in the water department. Most recently, Carl was working at D & J Scrap Metal in Bellefontaine, Ohio. He had attended the Wesley Chapel Church in West Liberty, Ohio. He loved his guitar and enjoyed singing and playing bluegrass music. Carl also spent time watching TV, especially the news and sporting events. He liked to help people and never met a stranger. Carl was known to have a nickname for everybody.

The funeral service will be held at the Eichholtz Funeral Home in Bellefontaine Thursday, December 26, 2013 at 1 P.M. with Pastor Jeff Hill officiating. Calling hours will be held two hours prior to the service starting at 11 A.M. Interment will be at the Greenwood-Union Cemetery in DeGraff, Ohio.
