Carol Kretschmar

Carol (Wilson) (Willetts) Kretschmar, 90, of Bellefontaine, passed away Friday afternoon, September 6, 2024, at Logan Acres Care Center.

Carol was born in LaGrange, Ohio, on July 2, 1934, to the late Lawrence and Ann Irene (Foster) Wilson. She was also preceded in death by her first husband Jack Willetts, second husband Cort Kretschmar, a daughter Janet Dawn Roberts, 2 sisters: Betty Taylor and Paula Carder, and 2 brothers: Larry Wilson and Phillip Wilson.

Carol is survived by her children: Joyce (Fred S.) Greetham, Jeff (Cathy) Willetts, and JD (Judi) Willetts; son-in-law Eddie Roberts; 12 grandchildren: Lee (Brandie) Roberts, Dawn (Derrick) Hamilton, Dale (Jenn) Roberts, Forest (Jody) Greetham, Jackie (Dave) Terrill, Cari (Ryan) Hyde, Jeremy (Kelly) Willetts, Joshua (Kate) Willetts, Justin Willetts, Jake (Lauren) Willetts, Lydia Willetts, and Ethan Willetts; 28 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Carol was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Bellefontaine. She enjoyed spending time with her family, her church family, stamping, sewing, crafting, singing, gardening and cooking. She was a lady of many interests and talents.

A memorial service celebrating Carol’s life will be held on Wednesday, September 11, 2024, at noon at Calvary Baptist Church, 1140 Rush Avenue, Bellefontaine. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service at the church.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks donations to be made to the Jack Willetts Scholarship Fund at Cedarville University, 251 N. Main St. Cedarville, OH 45314.
