Carol Skeen

Carol L. Skeen, age 80, of Bellefontaine, Ohio, passed away Monday, November 17, 2014 at Mary Rutan Hospital in Bellefontaine.

She was born August 4, 1934 in Bellefontaine, to the late Charles and Anna Belle (Shafer) Fridley.

On May 23, 1953, she married Thomas W. Skeen in Bellefontaine and he preceded her in death April 19, 2009. She was also preceded in death by a son, Charles Thomas Skeen, and a brother-in-law, Herbert King.

Surviving is a daughter, Deborah (Doug) Roberts of Kenton, Ohio; grandchildren, Jennifer (Dwight) Salyer of Bellefontaine and Megan (Paul) Defibaugh of Kenton; great grandchildren, Ian, Beau, Connor, Caitlin and Brooke; and a sister, Joan King of Enon, Ohio.

Carol retired in 2004 from Logan County Residential Homes where she worked as their secretary.
She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, the Elks Ladies Auxiliary and the American Legion Auxiliary. She enjoyed playing BINGO and jigsaw puzzles.

Gene Marine will officiate the 12:00 P.M. funeral service Wednesday, November 19, 2014 at the Eichholtz Funeral Home in Bellefontaine where friends may call two hours prior to the service.

Interment will be at the Bellefontaine Cemetery in Bellefontaine.
