Carol Jean Thornhill

Carol J. Thornhill, 93, of Sidney, passed away peacefully at 4:34 p.m. on Saturday, May 4, 2024, at The Landings of Sidney in Sidney, Ohio. She was born in Quincy, Ohio on December 25, 1930, a daughter of the late Clifford Harold and Flossie Twila (Notestine) Bell.

Carol is survived by her three children, Ed (Grace) Thornhill, Julie (Rick) Parr, and Jeanne (David) Cracknell; two grandchildren, Lizzie Parr, and Joe Parr; a sister, Barbara Krueger; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Carol was preceded in death by eight siblings, James Bell, Ruth Lantz, Donald Bell, Pauline Simpkins Weller, Rosemary Rice, Paul Bell, Judith Bell, and Steve Bell.

Carol had worked as a teacher’s aide at Angeline’s School in Upper Sandusky and as an office manager at William Beaumont Army Medical Center.

A private graveside service will be held at Fairview Cemetery in Quincy, Ohio at the convenience of the family.
