Carolyn Ann Fitzpatrick

Carolyn Ann Fitzpatrick, age 86, longtime resident of Bellefontaine, passed away Sunday afternoon, December 22, 2019.

She was born in Huntsville, Ohio January 31, 1933, to the late Claude M. “Key” and Mildred N. (Underwood) Jenkins.  Carolyn married Lawrence Fitzpatrick July 11, 1953 in Bellefontaine, and he preceded her in death in 2006.  She was also preceded in death by her brother Herb Jenkins and brother-in-law, Bill Sutton.

Carolyn worked many years in the business office at Mary Rutan Hospital.  She was a member of the First United Presbyterian Church and was active with the Kings Daughters.  Carolyn was an avid quilter, and enjoyed crocheting and needle work.

Carolyn is survived by her son, Kevin Fitzpatrick of Huntsville; and daughters, Susan Fitzpatrick of Bellefontaine and Diane Justice of Jamestown, Ohio; a grandchild, Jordan Fitzpatrick; a great-grandchild, Aiden Gabriel Fitzpatrick; a sister, Dorothy Sutton of West Chester, Ohio; a sister-in-law, Dottie Jenkins of Avon, Indiana and several cousins, nieces and nephews.

Pastor Steve Merrin will officiate Carolyn’s funeral service Saturday, December 28, 2019, at 12 noon at the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home & Cremation Center in Bellefontaine, where friends may call two hours prior to the service.

Burial will be at the Bellefontaine Cemetery.
