Carolyn McClain

Carolyn L. McClain, age 64, of Bellefontaine, Ohio and formerly of Russells Point, Ohio passed away Friday morning, March 14, 2014 at Vancrest of Urbana in Urbana, Ohio.

She was born in Marion, Ohio October 2, 1949, to the late Ernest and Janice (White) Osbourne.

Carolyn is survived by her son, James (Erin Slagle) McClain of Urbana; five grandchildren, Grace Ann Mercy Slagle, Courtney Noel McClain, Lily Aurora Slagle, Sophia Slagle and Caleb James McClain, and her “second” son Mark Cook, Jr. of Bellefontaine.

Carolyn worked at Holloway Sportswear in Jackson Center, Ohio. She was a life-member of the Indian Lake Eagles #3615 Lodge and had previously been a member of the Indian Lake Moose Lodge #1533. She collected cats and loved to spend time with her grandchildren.

Calling hours will be held at the Eichholtz Funeral Home in Bellefontaine Monday, March 17, 2014 from 5 to 7 P.M. The funeral service will be held at the funeral home Tuesday, March 18, 2014 at 10 A.M. with Rev. Timothy Johnson of the Indian Lake Northside Church of the Nazarene officiating. Private interment will be at the Marion Cemetery in Marion, Ohio.
