Carolyn J. “Ninny” Troutwine, 70, of Bellefontaine, Ohio, passed away Sunday evening, January 6, 2013 at Mary Rutan Hospital in Bellefontaine. She was born in Dayton, Ohio August 27, 1942, to the late Dwight and Dorothy Hayes Gustin.
In 1981, she married Charles Troutwine in Dayton, and he preceded her in death May 6, 2006. She was also preceded in death by her twin sister, Marolyn Melton.
Carolyn is survived by her sons, Dwight “Ed” (Tonya) Haley of Bellefontaine and James Gustin of Cincinnati, Ohio; four grandchildren, Tara (Brandon) Fout, Matthew (Emma) Overfield, Mycole Overfield and Jessica Davis; three great-grandchildren, Cameron Rollins, Rylen Fout and Taytum Fout; brothers, Daniel Gustin of Portsmouth, Ohio and Edward Gustin and life-partner Mark of Rancho Mirage, California; nieces, Jeanna, Amanda and Kim; nephews, Bill, James, Ty and Tony; great nieces, nephews, and other close family and friends.
A homemaker, Carolyn enjoyed spending time with her family around the campfire, singing, and dancing. She also enjoyed puzzles, crocheting, quilting, playing video games and euchre.
There will be a 1:00 P.M. funeral service Wednesday, January 9, 2013 at the Eichholtz Funeral Home in Bellefontaine where calling hours are from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. prior to the service. Interment will be at the Fairview Cemetery in West Liberty, Ohio.
