Carroll Doty
Carroll J. Doty, 80, of Belle Center, Ohio, passed away Tuesday, November 26, 2013 at the Hardin Hills Health Center in Kenton, Ohio.
He was born April 29, 1933, in Rice Lake, Wisconsin to the late James Waldo and Marion Mable (Coolidge) Doty. He was also preceded in death by a son, Dennis Doty and his brothers, Neil, Ernest and Roger Doty.
On October 17, 1959, he married the former Ruth Elizabeth Newman in Bloomingdale, Illinois and she survives. Also surviving are his children, Marian (Vern) Ratcliff of Ft. Wayne, Indiana, Mark (Tonda) Doty of Rock Hill, South Carolina, Joanne (Bill) Childers and Julie (Jay) Miller, both of Belle Center; seven grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and a brother, Calvin (Pat) Doty of Menifee, California.
Carroll retired in 2011 from Belle Center Air Tool of which he was the owner and operator since 1985. He was a member of the Belle Center Church of Christ, the Gideon's International, and enjoyed traveling and snowmobiling in Wisconsin.
Pastor John Watkins will officiate the 1:00 P.M. funeral service Saturday, November 30, 2013, at the Eichholtz Daring and Sanford Funeral Home in Belle Center where calling hours will be held from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. prior to the service. Interment will be at the Fairview Cemetery in Belle Center.
