Cathy Eileen Taylor

Cathy Eileen Taylor, of East Liberty, Ohio, passed away on April 23, 2025, at the age of 72. She will be remembered for her vibrant spirit, love for animals, and her passion for life.

Cathy spent many years training and racing horses, a pursuit that brought her great joy and lifelong friendships. She also worked as a barista at Starbucks, where she enjoyed connecting with customers and brightening their day with a warm smile and kind words.

An avid lover of the outdoors, Cathy found peace and happiness tending to her garden. She also enjoyed traveling, cooking, reading, and listening to music. Known by many as a “cat lady,” Cathy embraced this title with pride, having shared her home and heart with a plethora of cherished cats over the years.

Cathy was preceded in death by her mother, Susan Shuey Taylor; her sister, Carol Hetteberg; her brother, Todd Taylor; and her niece, Jessica Taylor.

She is survived by her sister-in-law, Robin Taylor; her nephew, Kurt Hetteberg; and her nieces, Kristen King, Melissa Taylor, and Angela Taylor-Barber. She is also fondly remembered by many great-nieces and great-nephews, as well as a wide circle of friends who will deeply miss her warmth, humor, and generous heart.

She will be cremated and there will be no public services at this time.
