Cevera Elbridge “Junior” McLaughlin, 78, of Bellefontaine passed away Sunday morning, May 10, 2015, at his home. He was born in Lewistown, Ohio, on April 4, 1937, to the late Cevera E. and Sarah (Lykins) McLaughlin, Sr.
Junior married the former Patricia Howard on February 5, 1955, in Liberty, Indiana, and she survives in Bellefontaine. He is also survived by their children: Jeff McLaughlin of Bellefontaine, Susie (Tim Kelley) Knox of Bellefontaine, Neil (Paula) McLaughlin of Fairfield, Tony McLaughlin of Bellefontaine and Ben (Jodie) McLaughlin of Springfield; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; a brother Jerry (Jean) McLaughlin of Belle Center and many nieces and nephews.
A 1955 graduate of Washington High School, Junior worked for Logan County Cooperative Power and Light as a lineman for 32 years before retiring. He loved his motorcycles and dogs, especially Spike. Junior enjoyed spending time with his family, cooking, playing cards and creating things, from artwork to woodworking and photo projects.
Friends may call at the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home, Bellefontaine on Tuesday, May 12, 2015 from 6-8pm. Pastor Kenn Barton will officiate the funeral service on Wednesday, May 13, 2015 at the funeral home at 11am. Burial will be in Lewistown Cemetery.
