Charles Hook

Charles Wendel Hook, 92, of West Liberty passed away Wednesday, January 14, 2015 in Green Hills Care Center.

He was born in Arlington, Ohio on May 4, 1922, the son of the late William M. and Lola (Castor) Hook. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother Wilbur Hook.

He is survived by his wife, Mary L. (Grubb) Hook, whom he married on June 24, 1945 in West Liberty and she survives along with their three sons; Jack W. (Coralayne) Hook of Tremont, IL, David W. (Pam) Hook of West Liberty, and Mark W. (Ruth) Hook of Lancaster, PA; three grandchildren; Aaron and Adam Hook and Dana (Jakob) Stuber, six great-grandchildren; Skylar and Hunter Hatcher-Hook, Ivy, Genesis, Hazel, and Abraham Stuber, and a nephew, Paul W. Hook.

Charles was a US Army Air Corp Veteran of WW II and was a member of the American Legion, West Liberty. He managed the People’s Savings & Loan in West Liberty for 40 years. He enjoyed fishing, reading and spending time with his family.

Pastor Robert Parr will officiate a funeral service at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 17, 2015 at the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home, 101 Zanesfield Road, WEST LIBERTY. Calling hours will be two hours prior to the service Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, West Liberty with military honors provided by the Logan County Veteran Honor Guard.
