Charles W. “Bill” Jackson, 90, of Bellefontaine, Ohio, passed away Thursday, February 9, 2012 at his residence. He was born November 12, 1921 in Bellefontaine, to the late Harvey M. and Olive Marie (Denney) Jackson.
On April 16, 1982, he married Mary Forbes in Columbus, Ohio and she survives. Also surviving is a son, Rick (Michelle) Jackson of Phoenix, Arizona; daughters, Doloris Cope of West Palm Beach, Florida and Rebecca Steele of Springfield, Ohio; a brother, Harold (Donna) Jackson of Bellefontaine; a sister, Frances Tracey of Pittsboro, Indiana; a brother-in-law, Fred Eads of Bellefontaine; a sister-in-law, Ruth Jackson of Prudenville, Michigan and several grandchildren.
Preceding him in death was a son, Donnie Jackson; a brother, Robert Jackson; and two sisters, Edith “Jackie” Eads and Margaret Wood.
A 1938 graduate of Zanesfield High School, Bill was a lab technician for General Motors in Columbus. A Mason for sixty years, he was a member of the East Liberty Masonic Lodge, the Order of Eastern Star in Hilliard, Ohio and the Bolton Field Pilots Association.
Calling hours are Monday, February 13, 2012 from 4 to 7 P.M. at the Eichholtz Funeral Home in Bellefontaine, with a Masonic Service at 7:00 P.M. A Graveside Service will be held at 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, February 14, 2012 at the Zanesfield Cemetery in Zanesfield, Ohio with Pastor Gene Phelps officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that memorial contributions be made to the Universal Home Health and Hospice 701 S. Main St. Bellefontaine, OH 43311
