Charles F. Meister, 76, of West Liberty, passed away Sunday evening, June 21, 2015 at Four Seasons of Washington, Washington Court House. He was born in Urbana on July 15, 1938 to the late Francis J. and Edna (Doll) Meister.
Charles was a veteran of the US Navy, where he retired after nearly twenty years of service. He later worked as a custodian for the West Liberty – Salem Schools. Charlie was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church, Bellefontaine. He was a life-member of the American Legion, VFW, AmVets and the Fleet Reserve Association. In his spare time, Charlie enjoyed reading newspapers.
Charles is survived by his brothers, Frank J. Meister of Alexandria, Virginia and Robert (Joni) Meister of West Liberty; two nephews: Fran (Bretnie) Meister of Cable and Ryan Meister of West Liberty.
Deacon Harold Dipple will officiate the funeral service on Thursday, June 25, 2015 at 1pm at the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home, West Liberty, where visitation will be held from 11am to 1pm. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, West Liberty with military honors provided by the Logan County Honor Guard.
