Charles Rinbolt

Charles Grant Rinbolt, 83, of Bellefontaine, Ohio, passed away Thursday, August 23, 2012 at Mary Rutan Hospital in Bellefontaine.

He was born March 12, 1929 in Briggsdale, Ohio, to the late Burnett and Hazel (Helenthal) Rinbolt.

He was previously married to Grace Braden and she preceded him in death February 29, 1992. A granddaughter, Abbygale Elaine Marie Rinbolt, also preceded him in death in 1999.

Surviving is his wife, Karen (Cloninger) Rinbolt, whom he married June 13, 1993 in Bellefontaine. Also surviving are two sons, Dennis Rinbolt of Bellefontaine and Timothy (Julie) Cloninger of Rantoul, Illinois; two daughters, Cheryl (Nick) Frazier of West Mansfield, Ohio and Sandra (Scott) Stockdale of Bellefontaine; a brother, Virgile (Lorane) Rinbolt of Connecticut; a sister, Jane Wells of Bellefontaine; grandchildren, Anthony, Queen, Adam Queen, Misty Yokley, Daniel Cloninger, Brice Parker, Alex Rinbolt, Brandon Frazier, Kelson Stockdale, Leevi Frazier, Zachary Stockdale, Melody Stockdale, Joshua Rinbolt, and Kassidy Stockdale, Sebastion Rinbolt, and Lance and Wade Cloninger, and fourteen great grandchildren.

He was a veteran with the United States Navy and retired after 20 years. He worked for Acrux and the Community Action Center. He was a lifetime member of the AmVets Post #105 and the V.F.W. #1040. He was a member of the Bellefontaine American Legion, Masonic Temple and the Antioch Shrine.

Calling hours are Sunday, August 26, 2012 from 2:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M. at the Eichholtz Funeral Home in Bellefontaine, where Pastor Bryan Meadows will officiate an 11:00 A.M. funeral service Monday, August 27, 2012. Interment will be at the Highland Memorial Cemetery in West Liberty, Ohio with military services by the Logan County Veterans Honor Guard.
