Charles Eugene Rogers, 70, of Bellefontaine passed away Saturday, July 25, 2015 in Heartland of Bellefontaine.
He was born in Oak Hill, WV on August 21, 1944, the son of the late Harold and Mary Rogers. He is also preceded in death by brothers-in-law, Gene Oglesby and George Moskos, and a nephew, John Stewart Atchison.
Chuck grew up in Trotwood, OH and graduated from Trotwood Madison High School in 1962. He then attended Ohio University in Athens, Ohio and went to Millwright Program at General Motors. He ended up finishing his career at the Vandalia, Ohio facility of General Motors.
He will be missed and loved by his two sons; Bruce Anthony Rogers of Tipp City and Douglas Alan (Shannon Marie) Rogers of Perrysburg; five grandchildren, Anastasia Rogers of Oak Ridge, Tennessee, Gavin Rogers, Nathan Rogers, Carson Rogers, and Lauren Rogers, all of Perrysburg; a longtime companion, Michaele Ann Witwer Hunter of Bellefontaine; four sisters; Mary Ann Denlinger of Kettering, Wally Moskos of Akron, Janet Oglesby of North Carolina, and Sally (Irvin) Atchison of Florida, two brothers; Houston Rogers of Trotwood and Bob (Barbara) Rogers of Florida, and a host of nephews and nieces.
His family will remember how Chuck was always there for them and they had everything they ever needed growing up. Chuck took them all over the United States in order to experience different sights. They will always remember how he could fix and build anything. Chuck had a great passion for cars, his sons can remember him owning 30 different cars. Chuck loved his children and grandchildren very much.
There are no planned public services. Private interment will be in Zanesfield Cemetery, Zanesfield, Ohio. Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home, Bellefontaine assisted the family with the arrangements and cremation.
