Charlotte MaDonna Hall, age 88, went to be with the Lord peacefully at her home Monday, June 9th, 2014.

She was preceded in death by her husband James Russell, brothers Lowell (Romain) Brown, Perk (Lucile) Brown, Caroll (Gertrude) Brown, Frank (Virginia) Brown, a sister, Thelma (Fred) Gross and a granddaughter, Amanda Mai Bullock.

She is survived by her children, Mike (Jeanne) Hall of Bellefontaine, Ohio, Russ Hall of Lago Vista Texas, Becky (John) Nicholl of Bellefontaine, and Phyllis (Tim) Macy of Bellefontaine, as well as many nieces and nephews, five grandchildren, and nine great grandchildren.

Charlotte was born April 30, 1926, to Willard and MaDonna Brown. She graduated from Bellefontaine High School in 1944, attended The Ohio State University and Kent State University and achieved a Bachelor’s degree in English, a Bachelor’s degree in Education, and a Master’s degree in Library Science. She was the Librarian at Bellefontaine Senior High School until she retired in 1995.

Charlotte was a life-long member of the First Church of God in Bellefontaine, where she had been the Librarian, and taught Sunday School and directed Bible School in past years. She was also a 4-H advisor to a cooking and sewing club for several years. Charlotte loved to travel with friends and family, and enjoyed spending time with her friends, her children and her grandchildren.

A celebration of life memorial will be held at the First Church of God in Bellefontaine Saturday, June14, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. Lunch in the fellowship hall will follow, provided by the church.

The funeral arrangements were in the care of the staff of the Eichholtz Funeral Home in Bellefontaine.
