Christiane L. Liford, 84, of Bellefontaine, Ohio, passed away Saturday, December 14, 2013 at her residence.
She was born in France, April 5, 1929, a daughter of the late Joseph and Andree (Willman) Vienot.
She married James Franklin Liford and he preceded her in death April 2, 1989. She was also preceded in death by two sons, William and Donald Benton; two daughters, Mary Christine Predmore and Madeleine Harford; one brother; one sister, Madeleine Vormus, and one granddaughter.
Christiane is survived by her daughter, Michelle (Brian) Rood of Bellefontaine; a step daughter, Vicki (Roy) Taylor of West Virginia; eight grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren; two daughter-in-laws, Sandee Benton of Bellefontaine and Leilani Benton of Wheatland, Wyoming; two son-in-laws, John Predmore of Bellefontaine and Chris Harford of Lakeview, Ohio, and two sister-in-laws, Marianne Garver of Tennessee and Mickie Benton of Charleston, South Carolina.
Christiane was active with the Daughters of the American Revolution in her younger years and was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles #2166 in Bellefontaine.
The funeral service will be held Wednesday, December 18, 2013, at 11:00 A.M. at the Eichholtz Funeral Home in Bellefontaine with Pastor Bryan Meadows officiating. Calling hours will held Tuesday, December 17, 2013 at the funeral home from 4 to 7 P.M. Interment will be at the Bellefontaine Cemetery in Bellefontaine.
