Christina S. Smucker, age 99, of West Liberty, Ohio, passed away Tuesday morning, April 8, 2014 at Green Hills Community in West Liberty.
She was born in Champaign County Ohio September 26, 1914, to the late C.S. and Ida Belle Yoder Smucker. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Irene (Smucker) King; a brother-in-law, Forest King; a sister, Ruby Isabel Smucker; a niece, Picolia King, and a great-great niece, Lauren King.
She is survived by three nephews: Kingsley King of Newark, Delaware, Nolan (Lois) King of Urbana, Ohio and Nathaniel (Pam) King of West Liberty, and numerous great nieces and nephews.
Christina enjoyed music and loved to play the piano. Along with her sister, Isabel, they were well known throughout the community for their painting, tapestry, hand-weaving abilities and historical presentations and storytelling.
A graveside service will be held Sunday, April 13, 2014, at 1 P.M. at the Oak Grove Cemetery in West Liberty.
The funeral arrangements were in care of the staff of the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home in West Liberty.
