Christine Hope Murray, age 67, of Bellefontaine, Ohio, passed away Wednesday, June 11, 2014 at her residence.
She was born September 25, 1946 in Bellefontaine, to the late Phillip Frances and Ruth Hilda (Bell) Lantz. Also preceding her in death was a son, Ronald Christian Murray; a granddaughter, Alysha; a great grandson, Coltin; and a sister, Cathleen A. German.
She is survived by her former husband, Ronald L. Murray of DeGraff, Ohio, whom she married July 19, 1968 in Zanesfield, Ohio by Rev. Furby. Also surviving are her children, Kimberlee Ruth (Brad) Fisher of DeGraff and Mary Elizabeth Murray-Jones of Bellefontaine; grandchildren, Elaine and Tylor Murray, Brittany and Jacob Fisher, Dalton (Danielle) Jones, and Dillion and Victoria Jones; great grandchildren, Jaxson, Corbin, Tressa, and Briella; a sister, Charlene Forsythe of Bellefontaine; and a nephew, Scott (Karin) German of Bellefontaine.
A 1964 graduate of Bellefontaine High School, Christine worked as the transportation secretary for Super Foods for twenty five years, as a receptionist at Madriver Internal Medicine, and also as a bartender at the Eagles and the former Holiday Inn.
Christine was a member of the West Liberty Presbyterian Church. She loved her popcorn, watching movies and most of all, spending time with her family.
Pastor Keith Landis officiates a 12:00 noon funeral service Saturday, June 14, 2014 at the Eichholtz Funeral Home in Bellefontaine where friends may call two hours prior to the service. Interment will be at the Fairview Cemetery in Quincy, Ohio.
