Clarabelle Lovett

Biography

Clarabelle Farrand Lovett, 92, formerly of Bellefontaine and Urbana, Ohio and more recently Crestview Hills, Kentucky, passed away Thursday, March 8, 2012 at 9:40 P.M. at St. Elizabeth Hospice in Edgewood, Kentucky.

She was born June 14, 1919 in Middleburg, Ohio, to the late Ross and Mary (Crowder) Griffin. She was also preceded in death by her previous husband, Richard Clare; a step-sister, Patricia Griffin Woodruff and a step-son, Terry Lovett.

In 1990, she married Ralph Samuel Lovett and he survives along with her daughter, Beverly Ann Birt of Greer, South Carolina; her son, Byron L. Birt, Jr. of Lakeview, Ohio; grandchildren, Jill Arthur Iles of Greer, South Carolina and Jeremy (Sarah) Arthur of North Lewisburg, Ohio; great-grandchildren, Jacob and Elizabeth Arthur; step-daughter, Julie (Daniel) Steers of Erlanger, Kentucky; six step-grandchildren, fourteen step-great-grandchildren and many nieces & nephews.

She was a 1937 graduate of Middleburg High School and retired from Grady Memorial Hospital in Delaware, Ohio after more than twenty years of service.

Rev. Bill Oda will conduct the funeral service Monday, March 12, 2012 at 12 Noon at the Kauffman-Eichholtz Funeral Home in West Liberty, Ohio where friends and family may call two hours prior. Interment will be at the Fairview Cemetery in West Liberty, Ohio.
