Clarke Hicks
Clarke W. Hicks, 70, of Bellefontaine passed away at 5:40 a.m. on Thursday, December 25, 2014 at The Ohio State University Ross Heart Hospital in Columbus. He was born in Logan County, Ohio on July 3, 1944 to the late Rev. Earl and Clarabelle (Hill) Hicks. He was also preceded in death by his son Jerome C. Hicks and a brother Earle Hicks.
On December 28, 1982 he married Deborah Klopfenstein. She survives along with his two daughters Nikki L. Hicks of Bellefontaine and Kerri (Alex) Arredondo of Findlay; three grandchildren, Mahailia “Hailie” Adams, Jerome Craig Smith and Teia Lynn Hicks; a sister Lucianne Paulin-Carter of Freeport, New York; and a sister-in-law Barbara Garza of Florida.
Clarke had worked as a supervisor at both Westinghouse and Siemens. He was a Vietnam U.S. Army Veteran and a member of the Elks on Garfield. He was also an avid Ohio State Fan and enjoyed fishing.
Pastor Frank McCullough will officiate a memorial service at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 30, 2014 at the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home, 321 N. Main Street, Bellefontaine. Visitation will be one hour prior.
