Clifford C. Richardson, 69, of Marysville, Ohio and formerly of Bellefontaine, Ohio, passed away Saturday evening April 8, 2017, at Lima Memorial Hospital in Lima, Ohio.
Cliff was born in Bellefontaine January 22, 1948, to the late Curtis J. and Luella M. (Latimer) Richardson. He was also preceded in death by a half-brother, William H. Shields and his sister-friend, Beverley Anne Daniels.
Cliff is survived by his wife, Stephanie (Organ) Richardson of Marysville, whom he married April 2, 1972, in Bellefontaine; children, Curtis (Patricia) Richardson of Canal Winchester, Ohio, Benjamin (Jennifer) Richardson of Hamilton, Ohio, and Kara (Naoto) Nakanishi of Marysville; eight grandchildren, Dustin, Kaylynn, Emily, Anna, Sayuri, Christopher, Kiyo, and Hadley.
A 1968 graduate of Bellefontaine High School, Cliff served his country for four years with a tour in Viet Nam. He was a veteran of the United States Navy and was stationed on the USS Boston the USS Talbot. Following his honorable discharge, Cliff worked several years at Rockwell and Porter’s (HBD). He then went to work at Honda in Marysville, where he worked as an electrician/coordinator in the maintenance department and retired after twenty five years of service. He was a former member of the Masonic Lodge. Cliff enjoyed his Ham radio and volunteered with the Logan County EMA during local emergencies.
Visitation will be held at the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home & Cremation Center in Bellefontaine Wednesday, April 12, 2017, from 4 to 7 P.M., with military honors provided at 7 P.M. by the Logan County Veterans Honor Guard. A private family burial will be held at a later date in the Fairview-McDonald Cemetery.
