Col. David H. Zook Jr.

Col. David H. Zook, passed away in Vietnam on October 4, 1967, while serving in the United States Air Force. He is survived by his wife, Pat; and their children, David H. III; Alice Ann Garett; and Lydia.

Pastor Howard Schmitt will conduct a graveside service in conjunction with full military services, in the South Union Mennonite Church Cemetery, along U.S. Route 68, north of Township Road 191, with a fly over at 11 a.m. October 4, 2008. Col. Zook’s son, David H. Zook III, and Fred Quick, a friend and fellow pilot of the downed airman, will speak. Attendees should park at the church and walk to the cemetery.
