Connie Furby

Connie Sue Furby, age 67, of Bellefontaine, Ohio, passed away peacefully Friday, October 24, 2014 at her daughter’s home in Bellefontaine surrounded by her family.

She was born June 30, 1947 in Kenton, Ohio, to the late Robert Henry and Doris Belle (Fawley) Schaub. Connie was also preceded in death by her grandparents, Elmer and Esther Schaub; her step mother, Barbara Schaub; a step sister, Diane Chamberlin; her special cousin, Donald Schaub, and a special friend, Patricia Chappell.

Surviving is her husband, James R. Furby of Bellefontaine; children, Jennifer Ferguson, Tracie (Rodney Scott) Ferguson, Alicia Miller, and Robert Ferguson, all of Bellefontaine; grandchildren, Seth, Morgan and Abbey Ferguson, Jody Haines, Rodney “Tyler” and Mia Scott; a step-sister, Kelly Tracy of Bellefontaine; a step-brother, Steve Blackburn of Marysville, Ohio; a special cousin, Janis (Raymond) Schaub of Syracuse, New York; special friends, Pat and Junior Roby, Bertie Miller and Al and Carol Truesdale, and her beloved dog, Annie.

Connie managed several businesses in the area. She most enjoyed being surrounded by her friends and family, especially spending time with her children and grandchildren. She also enjoyed playing all games, especially Euchre, video games, and traveling.

A 1:00 P.M. memorial service will be held Saturday, November 15, 2014 at the Eichholtz Funeral Home in Bellefontaine with two hours of visitation prior to the service.

The staff of the Eichholtz Funeral Home in Bellefontaine handled the arrangements for the family.
